Customer care
Welcome to the heart of Saint Daniel. Our journey is one woven with passion, craftsmanship, and a commitment to redefining elegance in every stitch.
FAQ
Why should I buy a tailored suit instead of an off-the-rack suit?
Just as every human is unique, so too is their physique. It’s not a case of a standardised pattern fitting all (which is precisely what you get when ordering off the peg, even if that suit is from a designer label).
A bespoke tailored suit will be made to complement your measurements exactly. For instance, some gentlemen have one shoulder higher than the other, a right hip slightly more prominent than the left, or an old sports injury that results in holding oneself up differently, all of which will be compensated for in making a bespoke suit. When you put on a bespoke tailored suit, none of these quirks will be evident – your suit will hang perfectly on you and you alone.
Our tailoring is top-tier, backed by a perfect fit guarantee and our unbeatable sales service when choosing a bespoke suit. What sets us apart from the rest is our level of service before, during, and after our tailoring sessions, fabric offerings, custom options, and quality. Six specialists oversee our quality control process, checking every detail before the product is shipped to you.
Your suits and shirts are tailored in Hong Kong, China, by skilled craftsmen with over 40 years of experience in bespoke tailored clothing. Quality checks are also meticulously conducted on-site.
Yes, our Women’s Suits fabrics are targeted towards discerning women in the corporate sector who seek businesswear with a contemporary flair. Please inform us a few weeks in advance so the women’s swatches collection can be arranged for the meeting.

We are flexible. At your discretion, our master tailor will take your measurements at your office or your home.
Our Stylist can meet you in our hotel suite or at your home or office. If we meet at your office, it would be ideal if a conference room can be arranged.
The appointment lasts approximately one hour. It is a one-on-one consultation between you and the stylist, emphasising the personal nature of our service and allowing you to have complete control over the process and the conversation.
Initially, the conversation (30-40 minutes) will be about:
- Dressing habits (corporate or casual)
- Work routine (percentage of time spent travelling or indoors or in meetings)
- Whether you’re looking to refresh your wardrobe or complement existing items completely.
We will then show you our fabric collection and give you advice on what fabrics will be best for you. We’ll also guide you on how to customise your garment. For example, we help you choose the collar and cuff styles on your shirt or the pocket style on your Suit.
Lastly (15-20 minutes), we’ll take over 35 body measurements and note details about your posture to help our cutters determine the ideal fit for your physique.
Over the last 30 years, we have developed strong relationships with European fabric mills; our collection comprises 5,000 fabrics from 15 mills.
One of the reasons why bespoke tailors stand out is the level of customisation offered to an individual so that he can determine his suit from the collar to the cuff. We have some out-of-the-box features that most of our competitors don’t. Our stylists will show you all options during one-to-one consultations.
Yes. We can replicate the styling details of the image or video you’ve seen.

We can arrange to have our Style Advisors visit your location if a group of 5 or more individuals is interested in our services. Please email us at contact@saintdaniel.com

All payments must be settled by credit card or payment link sent from contact@saintdaniel.com. We take a 50% deposit for new customers when they place an order, and the balance after the order has been dispatched from our office in Hong Kong.
We accept only HKD, USD, EUR, and GBP credit card payments.
Our standard delivery time is 6 to 8 weeks. All orders are processed and undergo rigorous Quality Control. Some orders are returned to the workshop for amendments, which takes a few more days. Hence, one can notice a delay sometimes.
Please contact your stylist or send us an email at contact@saintdaniel.com
We only accept credit card payments via American Express, MasterCard and Visa.
The quality of tailoring determines the price of a suit and, most importantly, the fabric and brand. Our suits start at USD 599 and shirts at USD 95.
If you’ve previously purchased with us offline, then yes. Email us at contact@saintdaniel.com with your order request, and our team will contact you to coordinate further details.
We do not have a retail store or outlet. Our style advisors can travel to you anywhere and provide a personalised service at favourable prices.
Professional Cleaning Only
Dry cleaning is recommended for tailored clothing. However, it should be done as infrequently as possible—after several wears or once per season, not after each wear. Garments cleaned less frequently will last longer than garments cleaned more regularly.
Not cleaning your tailored clothing in a washing machine or dryer is essential. Doing so can irreparably damage or misshape it.
Spot Care at Home
Wool Fabrics-Spot cleaning with wool detergent and a wet cloth removes minor stains. It is best to blot the stained area. Avoid rubbing, which can force the stain deeper into the fabric fibres.
A wool/fabric brush can be used periodically. This will prolong the garment’s life by removing loose particles that could break down the wool.
Cotton & Linen Fabrics-Spot-treat stains promptly, blotting the stained area with detergent and a wet cloth.
How Often to Clean
Tailored clothing requires less frequent cleaning than your dress shirts or casual pants. Trousers should be cleaned more frequently than jackets.
Jackets and trousers should be cleaned as they display signs of odour and wear. Cleaning your garments will help to remove sweat and bacteria that may build up over multiple uses.
The best way to determine when to send your garments to the cleaners is when you notice that airing out and spot cleaning are not successfully removing the odour and dirt.
Frequency of Wear
Pilling refers to the small balls of fibre that can form on almost any fabric. It’s mainly caused by rubbing and friction during wear or wash. The best way to prevent pilling is to wear your garments less frequently, avoid backpacks and bags that cause repeated friction in the same area, and avoid rubbing stains when spot cleaning. Cleaning your clothes properly will also help to prevent excessive pilling.
Despite these precautions, you may still experience some pilling over time. The most effective way to remove pills is to use a fabric comb or electric pill remover that gently shaves them off the fabric surface.
Fabric abrasion may also occur over time. Avoiding friction, refraining from frequent wear, and practising suitable cleaning methods will help to prolong the fabric’s strength and reduce surface deterioration.
Tears can occur in areas of a garment that undergo high stress or tension. If they occur at a seam, you can bring your garment to your local tailor, who should be able to mend it quickly.
Yes! We offer fabric samples! You can order almost any fabric swatch for suits, coats and trench coats (if a sample is missing, it may be because we ran out of cut samples for that fabric, and it some weeks, they will be available again)
Fabric samples are sent via regular mail and take 1-2 weeks to arrive anywhere.
We cannot provide you with a tracking number and expedited shipping as they are sent via regular mail.
Unfortunately, we don’t have samples for shirt fabrics available.
Finally, ordering fabric samples is free because we will deduct the symbolic cost of the samples when you place your final order.
If you want a second (experienced) opinion, don’t hesitate to submit your fit photo request to your stylist. Our Stylists are experienced in helping clients achieve a perfect fit, and we are happy to assist.
Send three (or more) photos of yourself wearing the garment below. These are key to helping us advise on how to modify your size.
- All photos should show as high as your chin and as low as your thighs.
- In all photos, you should look straight ahead with your arms at your sides.
- We recommend wearing the jacket over a dress shirt tucked into pants. In general, we can best assess the proportions of your jacket and optimise its fit when we see it worn how you’re most likely to wear it.
Send three (or more) photos of yourself wearing the garment below. These are key to helping us advise on how to modify your size.
- All photos should show your stomach as high as possible and include your shoes. Wear the shoes you’re most likely to wear with your pants.
- You should look straight ahead in all photos with your legs shoulder-width apart.
- If you plan to wear these pants without a tucked-in shirt, make the waist, hip, and seat area visible in your photos.

Alterations & Remake
If your body size changes by more than 1.5 inches/3.80cm during the measurements and delivery at any body part, we will not be responsible for altering or remaking garments.
If your tailored garment requires any minor adjustments, we’ll work with you to get your ideal fit just right, whether it’s small alterations or a complete remake.
One of our partner alteration tailors in your city can adjust the garment. We have a network of local tailors in most major towns whom you can visit to get your clothes altered free of cost up to 30 days after the delivery date. Please coordinate with your stylist who took your order or simply send us an email contact@saintdaniel.com
Note: Alteration and remake requests must be made within 30 days after receiving the clothes.
Some complex alterations can’t be done locally, and the garment must come back to our workshop. Depending on the location, we will arrange for a pick-up of your garment or send you an address where it can be shipped. Once our master tailor has evaluated the garment and the issue, we will either fix the garment or remake it free of charge.
Note: All changes will be saved to your profile to fit all future orders.
In the event of alterations and remake all shipping costs are complementary and refundable.
Ready-to-wear and Accessories: Must be returned within 30 days in the same condition, unworn, unused, with all labels intact. Anything past that is subject to our discretion.
Bespoke Clothing: Bespoke clothing is uniquely made for you, and we understand that getting everything perfect on your first try doesn’t always happen. Therefore, these items cannot be accepted for returns or refunds until we’ve gone through two rounds of alterations or a remake and haven’t succeeded.
We will do our best to ensure the fit is correct and you’re happy with the garment.
Note: For a refund that is issued, you will receive the funds within 5-10 business days after the arrival of items to our workshop.

That depends on what you’re ordering and where you’re located.
For clients in the United States, import duties are included in the price of all orders.
For clients in Canada, import duties are included in the price of all Custom Products. For Stocked Products, import duties are not included, and you should expect to incur duties upon receipt.
For clients in the EU, import duties are included in the price of all products on all orders.

How to request delivery without a signature depends on the courier used for your shipment.
Note: Signature waiver requests cannot be guaranteed. Ultimately, the driver will decide if the conditions of the address are secure enough to leave your package without a signature. In most cases, signature waivers are honoured, but exceptions are made.
Bespoke orders can take 5 to 8 weeks from the order confirmation and payment received. However, ready-to-wear accessories orders are shipped immediately if ordered separately. We hold and ship them together if they are combined with bespoke orders.
Note: The promised delivery date could be pushed back in case of non-payment or if your stylist needs more information from you to proceed with the order.
Fast-track orders are possible for an extra charge, and we should prioritise your order based on workload and the year’s timing. In some cases, upcoming holidays, unique fabrics sourced from different parts of the world, or items due to the intricate process of hand-crafted patterns may make it impossible.
Once you’ve placed an order online, you will receive a confirmation email with all your order details. Upon dispatch of your order, we will send you another email with a tracking number and an expected delivery date.
Yes, you can. The easiest way is to email your stylist who measured you, and he will help you change the address on your profile. If the order has been shipped and the tracking number shows the package has not been delivered, contact us immediately to request the address change. In this case we will try our best we can to coordinate with the courier to change your address before delivery. Note that a successful address change at this stage cannot be guaranteed and may cause a delay in your delivery.
If the order’s tracking number shows that the package has been delivered, unfortunately, it’s too late to change your shipping address. If you think your package was lost, contact us, and we’ll do our best to figure out what happened.
